Get most from your Air Conditioner
Do you want to get the most out of your air conditioner while consuming as little energy as possible? From Brown Mechanical Services, we have prepared a list of five practical tips to get you started. But the first thing is to start by choosing an air conditioner with a suitable capacity for your space.
1. Close windows and doors
Keep windows and doors closed at all times to keep the temperature inside the stable. For example, make sure that when someone is taking a shower, the bathroom door is closed to prevent warm, humid air from reaching the room where the air conditioner is located.
2. Keep set temperature stable
Some people turn on the most aggressive cooling mode on their air conditioner to get immediate results. However, this is rarely the most effective way to use the drive. Instead, set your computer to a stable temperature, such as 21°C. This will ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the home while allowing the air conditioner to maintain a constant temperature without having to work at its maximum.
3. Stay ahead of the heat
Turn on the air conditioning before the heat arrives. In this way, the unit will not have to work at as much power, which will allow you to save a lot of energy in the long run. Another option would be to use a timer such as the Wifi control from the mobile to activate the unit just before arriving home. In this way, you ensure that you always find a home at the ideal temperature.
4. Clean the filters
For your air conditioning equipment to work efficiently and without great effort, it is important to clean and maintain the filters at least once a year. In this way, you can make the efficiency of the unit always high.
5. Take care of the outdoor unit
The outdoor unit is the heart of the air conditioning system and therefore should not be left out. Make sure that neither the air inlet nor the air outlet is obstructed by objects or leaves. Inspect the unit before the start of summer and winter to ensure optimal performance.
